Savannah, GA a historic city (Savannah, GA ciudad historica)

Mark found out that we could park for several days in the visitor center in the downtown area. We were super close to the Savannah Art Institute were I did a tour since they have the animation major. The art institute installations are nice and the program too but it’s too far away though, oh well I will have to pass on that. The art school remodeled historic buildings for their classrooms which added more of that architecture to the city.

The historic town is very old, not sure if you remember but in the civil war many cities were burned and one of the exceptions was Savanah. There are square parks every a couple of blocks. The old cities around this parks makes it look pretty. I got more interested in Savannah when I read the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil from John Berendt which talks about a murder that took place in one of the historic town houses and is a true story. That house is now a museum.

We enjoyed morning walks exploring the town and learning the history.
